Worden Kendrick Ott, 83; World War II veteran

Graveside memorial service for Worden Kendrick Ott, 83, of Jeffersonville, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 30, at New Albany National Cemetery, with Chaplain and Honor Guard of Sellersburg American Legion Post 204 officiating. He died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Clark Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center, Clarksville.
He was born Sept. 14, 1925, in New Albany, to Herbert Ott and Loretta Edwards King. He was a retired clerk at Kroger, Jeffersonville and served in the U.S. Marines as a Cpl in World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Patricia Haycraft Ott; a daughter, Patricia Jennings, Jacksonville, N.C.; nine sons, Michael Ott of Wellington, N.C., Kenny Pullman of Stockton, Calif., Brian Ott of Parrish, Fla., George Ott of New Albany, Glenn Ott, Utah, Joseph Ott, Raymore, Mo., and Cody, James and Robert Ott, Jeffersonville; a brother, Carl Ott of Laconia; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Pyke-Calloway Funeral Service, New Albany.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
