Dixie Ella Louise Hudson, daughter of Herman J. and Frieda Bohling Ahrens, was born at Sedan, Nebr., on April 13, 1919, and died at the Republic County Hospital at Belleville on September 15, 1980, at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 2 days.


She received her education at the Lutheran Parochial School at Shickley, Nebr., and attended Belleville High School. She was united in marriage to Max W. Hudson on March 26, 1941, and to this union seven children were born.


She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Munden. She had lived in Munden the past forty years.


She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband; her mother, Mrs. Frieda Ahrens of Belleville; four sons: Wayne R Hudson of Idaho Springs, Colo., James W. Hudson of Courtland, M-Sgt Frederick A. Hudson of San Antonio, Tex., Albert L. Hudson of Scandia; three daughters, Mrs. Roger (Rachel) Hoffmeyer of Deshler, Mrs. Martin (Brenda) Egbarts, and Mrs. Lonnie (Roberta) Craig, both of Chester; one foster daughter, Mrs. A.C. (Iva Jane) Rodgers of South Roxana, Ill.; one brother, Richard Ahrens of Belleville, three sisters, Mrs. Forrest (Mabel) Howard of Flippin, Ark., Mrs. Ernest (Helen) Link of Delta, Colo., and Mrs. Clarence (Lorene) Baldwin of Goodland; 15 grandchildren.


Funeral services were held September 17, at the United Methodist Church of Munden, conducted by the Revs. Loren Silsby and John W. Frint. Interment was made in Ida Cemetery.
