MILLSAP - Valeria Dent Gilbert, 95, a homemaker, died Saturday at a hospital.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brock United Methodist Church. Burial: Brock Cemetery. Visitation: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Valeria Gilbert was born June 8, 1900, in Brock. Mrs. Gilbert was a member of Brock United Methodist Church and Eastern Star No. 274. She married Olen Gilbert in 1919 and resided in Fort Worth until 1957 and has since lived in Brock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Gilbert, in 1966, and a son, J.D. "Duane" Gilbert, in 1981.
Survivors: Son, Doyle Gilbert of Fort Worth; daughter-in-law, Juan Etta Gilbert of Millsap; four granddaughters, Jenny Evans of Wiley, Paula Watson of Plano, Valarie Gilbert of Weatherford and Gloria Barron of Aledo; six great-grandchildren including five great-grandsons, Brandon Evans and Jamison Evans, both of Wiley, Luke Watson of Plano, and Blake Barron and Matthew Barron, both of Aledo, and one great-granddaughter, Brittany Barron of Aledo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
