Agatha Beatrice "Aggie" Schmid, a longtime resident of Kettering, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2009, at the St. Leonard Community. She was born in Dayton, OH on July 13, 1920, to Vernon Leo and Leona Annamarie (Gross) Segui, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Richard and Robert Segui. Agatha is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John A. Schmid; her 5 children, Anita and husband, John Franz, of Miamisburg, Vernon and wife, Joy Schmid, of London, OH, Raphael (Ray) and wife, Debra Schmid, of West Alexandria, OH, Mark and wife, Brenda Schmid, of Riverside, Retta and husband, Jeff Ott, of Dayton, OH; a special cousin, Bill and wife, Toni Gross, of Maineville, OH; 5 sisters, Helen Godfrey, of Kettering, Marianna O'Brien, of Kettering, Vernadele Lucas, of Dayton, Madonna Schweickart, of Dayton and Amelia Segui, of Bellbrook; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Aggie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, foster parent and friend to all. She was a longtime member of Ascension Catholic Church and was a graduate of Fairmont High School, Class of 1938.
