Mrs. Nancy Murphy Dies Suddenly at Her Home Here.
---Mrs. Nancy Murphy passed away at her home here Tuesday evening after an illness of but a few hours.
---Deceased was about seventy years of age, and is survived by one son and four daughters, George Murphy and Mrs. D. A. Peckham of Montana and Mrs. Mamie Parris of Arkansas City, Kans., Mrs. Fred Swarthout of Kansas City and Mrs. Frank Buck of near LaPlata.
---No arrangement have been made for the funeral, but will probably be held at the Christian church tomorrow.

Nancy married her first husband, George W. Bragg (Bragg family records give his middle initial as M.) and they had one son, John Thomas Bragg who died as an infant. George was Nancy's first cousin. George died during the Civil War at Centralia, Missouri as a result of the Centralia Massacre.

Nancy married her second husband, William Henry Murphy, on September 8, 1870 at the North Missouri Hotel in Macon, Macon County, Missouri and they had six children:
1) Dessie May Murphy Swarthout
2) James Benjamin Murphy*
3) Ada Ellen Murphy Buck
4) George Douglas Murphy
5) Mayme Frances Murphy Paris
6) Margaret Elizabeth Murphy Peckham
