Bonnie L. Jones / Brown passed away on July 4, 2007 in Stillwater, OK at the age of 96. She was born to Burl Delbert and Mary Etta (Watkins) Shafer on January 26, 1911 in Maramec, OK. Early in life, her family moved to Quay, OK where she started school and graduated from high school and joined the Methodist Church at age 14. She married Lester W. Jones on September 4, 1933. They later moved to Oklahoma City where he passed away on August 8, 1986. She moved back to Yale, OK in 1993 to be close to her sister, Gladys (Shafer) Williams, who was ill. On October 31, 1996, she married Grady L. Brown and continued to live in Yale, OK until 2002. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, sister and two husbands. She leaves to morn: two sons, Robert L. Jones, Magnolia, TX, and Thomas E. Jones, McComb, OK; three granddaughters, Stephanie Jones, Oklahoma City, OK, Amber Jones, Magnolia, TX, and Jennifer Jones, Norman, OK; two grandsons, Thomas E. Jones, Jr., Lewisville, TX and David Jones, Corpus Christi, TX; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and lots of special friends. A graveside service will be held at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, OK where she will be laid to rest on Sat., July 7, 2007 at 2:00 pm.
