The following was found on page 3 of the 13 March 1850 edition of the Indiana Herald:
DIED - In this place on the 5th inst., Jane Caroline, wife of Cyrus Adams, in the 34th year of her life.
Forever sweet the promise
wile all we love depart,
and fade and fall the flowers
that cluster round the heart:
that those for whom we're weeping,
to them sweet peace is given
unfading bliss forever,
externally in heaven.
