John Carniewski, Jr., age 75, of Crestview, Fla., passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009. He was born on Nov. 13, 1933 in Erie, Pa., and moved to Okaloosa County in June 1973. He retired as a staff sergeant with the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a security guard at L3 and was a member of New Bethel United Methodist Church, the American Legion and IBEW.
Survivors include his wife, Alice V. Carniewski; sons, Doug, Philip, Charles and Ralph Arnett, and Glen D. Jones; brother, Louie; sisters, Mary, Pat, Florence, Gerry and Rose; multiple grandchildren including Morgan, Taylor, Genese and Jason; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
