Sarah Independence Watkins Foster was born 04 Jul 1811 in Petersburg, Ga. and died 30 Jan 1887 in Florence, Ala. the daughter of Robert H. Watkins (1782-1855) and Prudence Thompson (1788-1868).

Sarah married George W. Foster 1 Oct 1829.
