Lila Esther Clark Doyle, 61, passed away at her home in Roswell, on June 18, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Country Club Church of Christ with the Rev. Doug Austin officiating. Graveside services will follow in South Park Cemetery.

Lila was born Nov. 21, 1947, the youngest of 12 children. She lived in devotion to the church, her family and the public good. She served for 35 years for Roswell, Chaves County and the state of New Mexico, always putting her own pleasure behind the needs of others. She married her husband Ron on Sept. 4, 1971, in Fort Sumner, and was happily married for more than 37 years. Lila would claim her marriage and the birth of her two sons as her proudest achievements.

Lila's strength, morality, selflessness and love have benefited countless others and will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived her husband Ron Doyle; her son, Brian and his wife Sunday; her son, Ron his wife Lisa and her two grandchildren, Madeleine and Lila Simone; her brothers, John, Charlie, O.A. and Dan; her sisters, Opal, Jewel, Mary and Dottie. She was preceded in death by her parents Otis Alfonso and Lila Mary; her sister, Ruby Fay; and her brothers, James and Warren.

Pallbearers will be her brothers, John, Charlie, O.A. and Dan Clark; her brother-in-law Floyd C. Doyle Jr.; and her sons, Ron and Brian.

Lila's wishes for a simple ceremony filled with singing and family will be respected. In lieu of flowers, anonymous donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
