FUNERAL ARRANGED AT ARK CITY FOR EX-GRAIN DEALER

ARKANSAS CITY, KAN., Jan 12 -- Funeral services for Lowell F. Beatty, 75-year-old retired farmer and grain dealer, will be held here at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Born June 2, 1880, at Tecumseh, Neb., he went with his parents to the Cherokee Strip opening, and later homesteaded in Oklahoma as a young man,.

A member of the Baptist church, he lived at several locations in Oklahoma, and at one time was a Garden City grain dealer. He also lived in Colorado, and moved to Arkansas City from Buffalo, Mo., in 1952.

Survivors include three sons, Chester of Ulysses, Vernon of Salida, Colo., and Delbert of Tulsa, a daughter, Mrs. Iola Johnson of Wichita, and the widow.
