Ronnie Raulston, 67, of Hobbs passed away June 18, 2009 at his residence.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 22, 2009, at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ronnie Sutton and Brother Danny Chambers officiating. Interment followed at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
Mr. Raulston was born on Janurary 27, 1942 in Willow, Oklahoma to Ray and Bonnie Clancy Raulston. He married Velda Gibson on June 17, 1961 in Borger, Texas and they celebrated 48 glorious years together. Mr. Raulston owned and operated Raulston Body Shop for 31 years. He was a minister of The Church of the First Born and was ordained as a Bishop on April 30, 1989.
Mr. Raulston was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Charles Raulston and his grandson, Dillon Raulston.
Survivors include his wife, Velda Raulston of the home; children, Cynthia Dobbs and her husband Danny of Hobbs, Shelly of Hobbs, Beverly Tyree of Vici, Oklahoma, Bobby Raulston and his wife, Leah of Hobbs and Troy Raulston and his wife, Jamie of Hobbs; sister, Wilma Allison of Tyler, Texas; brother, Kenneth Raulston of Pampa, Texas; and grandchildren, Josh and Jason Daulton Raulston, Amanda, Amelia and CeCelia Tyree, Katelyn, Ashtyn, Hunter and Addison Raulston and Treyson and Kilee Raulston.
