Doris (Barnard) Hasbrouck, 82, beloved wife for 65 years of Thad M. Hasbrouck, died on Saturday (June 20, 2009) at Hartford Hospital.
She was born in New Haven, daughter of the late, Charles P. and Minnie (Spencer) Barnard, and had lived in Wethersfield for 54 years.
She was a longtime member of First Church of Christ, Wethersfield. Doris had a passion and her hobby was sending cards to all she knew and cared about.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son Thad Charles Hasbrouck and his wife Dale of Cromwell; and a daughter, Donna L. Hasbrouck of Stratford, NY; three grandchildren, Heidi Olsby, Margaret Hasbrouck, and Jonathan Hasbrouck; four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Rachel, Shannon, and Shelby.
The Funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at First Church of Christ, 250 Main Street, Wethersfield, with the Rev. Atessa Affhar officiating.
Burial will be in Alder Brook Cemetery, Guilford.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. at The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield.
