Benjamin William Barber, 79, of 232 Acacia in Lake Jackson, died at 7 p.m. Friday in Freeport. He was born Feb 15, 1893, in Blanconia, TX, but had lived in Mont Belvieu until several years ago.
He owned and operated a service station for many years in Mont Belvieu and was a member of First Baptist Church of Mont Belvieu.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Willie Mae Fondren of Houston and Mrs. Marguerite Peterson of Lake Jackson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Paul U Lee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. G. W. Strickland of Mont Belvieu officiating.
Burial will be in Barbers Cemetery in Mont Belvieu.
