Jennie Mae Davison was born in Webbers Falls, Oklahoma and passed away in Hanford, California. She was extremely proud of her Cherokee heritage and her early years were spent in Chilocco, a boarding school for Native American children.

Her family moved to Stratford in her teenage years and she continued her education at Lemoore High School.

In 1941, she married Karl A. Davison and they spent most of their years living in Lemoore.

She was a wonderful cook and spent time cooking at children's church camps with her friend, Dorla. She also loved to do handwork, especially crocheting. Most of her years were spent as a meticulous housewife and she also worked as a church secretary for several years.

She was a long time attendee of First Baptist Church (South Valley Community Church) of Lemoore.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Karl A. Davison. Also preceding her was her grandson, Jeffrey Bryan Davison and seven siblings, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Jennie is survived by her son Karl W. Davison and his wife Evelyn, of Lemoore; her granddaughter Wendy Sue Rogers, of Anaheim; her great-grandson, Taylor Jeffrey Rogers of Hanford; her brother Robert Crapo and his wife Mabel, of Visalia. Also surviving are several precious nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Phipps-Dale Funeral Chapel.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 26 at 11 a.m. at the Lemoore Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at South Valley Community Church, 1050 West Bush Street in Lemoore.
