Married Mary Ellen "Mamie" Scott on 29 Jan 1893 in Chambers County, TX
∼ There were conflicting stories about his death. The newspaper account (attached) was contradicted by family folklore that he and his brother, Albert Milby Barber, were killed by robbers returning from a Liberty cattle sale.
