Jessie Lydia Smith was born in August of 1856 or 1857 and raised on her father's farm in Redford Township. The family moved to Northville in the Spring of 1871.
   Jessie married Dr. George W. Allyn on March 31, 1879 in Northville. They lived together briefly in Pittsburgh before Jessie moved to Florida due to the poor health of Jessie (or her daughter). Jessied died in Florida on March 6, 1881.
