Edna was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards especially with her grandchildren. She loved baking and spoiling her grandchildren whenever she could. Edna enjoyed dancing and listening to music.
She married Norman M. Weber on October 5, 1943 at St. Mary Church in Westphalia and he preceded her in death on May 14, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Arlene on July 13, 1971; 5 brothers, Alfred, Herman, Roman, Leo and Joseph Pohl; sister, Julia Martin. Surviving are her 4 sons, Marvin (Janice) Weber of Pewamo, Leon (Jane) Weber of Westphalia, Jerome (Kathy) Weber of Pewamo, and Daniel (Joyce) Weber of Portland; 2 daughters, Jane (Gerald) Goodman of Portland and Joan (Patrick) Vashaw of Portland; 20 Grandchildren; 28 Great Grandchildren; sister-in-law, Leona Bauer; brother-in-law, Urban (Marie) Weber; several nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Larry King, Pastor at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rite of Committal following at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Rosaries will be prayed at 3 and 8 p.m. Thursday and 3 p.m. Friday. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Patrick Boiler Fund in memory of Mrs. Edna Rose Weber.
