Kuehl died on November 19, at Bryans Memorial Extended Care, Phoenix, Arizona. He was employed as a watchmaker and had owned his own jewelry store in Freeport. Hansen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. He was a Veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a sister, Esther Waack; and a niece and a nephew.
