A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 1996, in Barton Community Baptist Church for Elizabeth Olga "Betty" Kindade, who died Sept. 19 at age 87.
Mrs. Kinkade was born Jan. 10, 1909, in Reno, Nev. Her maiden name was Rehbein. She moved to Portland as a child and attended Jefferson High School and graduated from Girls Polytechnic High School. In 1930, she married Alvin; he died in 1983. She was a seamstress and did alterations for Unger's clothing store in downtown Portland. She attended the church since 1956.
Surviving are her daughters, Jeri Scheeff, Jeanie Fischer and Joan Hodgkiss, all of Oregon City; brother Rudy Rehbein of Haines; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances to the church.
