FATHER OF 10, HURT IN AUTO CRASH, DIES

The head-on collision on the Grove City-Mercer road last Saturday claimed its second victim with the death of Paul Perrine, 35, of R. D. 2, Jackson Center, at 4:45 a.m. today in the Osteopathic hospital, Grove City.

Perrine, the father of 10 children, remained unconscious in the hospital until Tuesday, when he regained partial consciousness. However, he suffered a relapse on Thursday and his condition became steadily worse.

Their 10th child was born to Mrs. Perrine Tuesday evening at Jackson Center. Mrs. Perrine visited her husband Tuesday afternoon.

The first victim of the crash, Walter Gilmore, 51, of R. D. 1, Harrisville, died at 3 p. m. Sunday in the Osteopathic hospital.

Both victims were hurled partially through the windshields of the cars in which they were passengers, when Gilmore's son, Glenn, 18, attempted to pass another car in the fog while enroute to work in Sharon and collided with the car of Paul McCullough, R. D. 3, Mercer. The accident occurred at 7:30 a. m., five miles west of Grove City.

Glenn McCullough was able to leave the hospital Monday.

Paul Emerson Perrine was born in Jackson-tp, Mercer-co, June 22, 1910. He was the son of Joseph C. and Elizabeth J. Greenfield Perrine, who survive with his wife, Bertha Stevenson Perrine and 10 children.

A lifetime resident of his community, he was a member of the Jackson Center Methodist church and an employe of the P. Wall Mfg Supply Co. of Grove City.

He is survived by the following children: Joseph, Lois, Mary Ann, James, Billy, Johnny, Pearl, Tommy, Glenn and an infant son, Robert Charles.
