Burial of Mrs. Alma James
Many from Alton, including several relatives, went to Dow this morning to attend the funeral this afternoon of Mrs. Alma James, member of a prominent family of Dow which was held from East Newbern Church.
Mrs. James died in Jacksonville Thursday. She become violently insane about nine months ago when a sister who had been ill a long time, committed suicide. The life of Mrs. James was filled with sorrowful incidents, and she, on two or three occasions met tragedy face to face, and sorrow was her constant companion. Her relatives have the sincere sympathy of all who know them, or knew her, but they have the comforting assurance of the Nazarene in whom she and they believe, that all is well will her now. Burial was in ghe cemetery at East Newbern.
