Mrs. Bessie E. Roberts, age 57, formerly of Russell County, died Sunday, August 14, 1977, at Home View Nursing Home, Franklin, Indiana.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Arie Stephens, Nevada, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Rosialene Baxter and Mrs. Peggy Blass, Franklin, Mrs. Betty Fernandez, Glendale, California; four sons, Jack Roberts, Urbana, Illinois, Ronnie Roberts, Duncannon, Pennsylvania, Veston Roberts, Trafalgar, Indiana, Larry Roberts, Orland Park, Illinois; one sister, Mrs. Montie Ard, Nevada, Ohio; four brothers, George W. Stephens, Russell Springs; Jim Stephens, Nancy, Dick Stephens, Indiana, Calvin Stephens, Whiteland, Indiana; fifteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held August 17, 1977, at 2:00 p.m. in Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Henry Popplewell officiating.
Interment was in Roberts Cemetery, Jabez.
