She married Raymond H. Choquet on Aug. 28, 1939; he preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Arden Rae Hocking; and three sisters, Mary Banzin, Agnes Selinger, and Ann Mudra.
Mrs. Choquet, a lifelong resident of Springfield, worked as an assembler at Sangamo Electric for 30 years and at CWLP for 18 years as an office clerk. She was a member of St. Aloysius Church. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends.
Surviving are a son, Raymond Choquet of Springfield; a son-in-law, Jay Hocking of Auburn; a granddaughter, Lesli (William) Choat of Springfield; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Choquet Choat; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm, Thursday, June 25, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home with Prayers at 4 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009, at St. Aloysius Church, with the Rev. Mark Schulte officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Aloysius Church.
