Mrs. Holzer Dies, Rites Set For Sunday

Mrs. Frances Holzer, age 76, of Dallas, formerly of Tours, passed away at 7 p.m. Wednesday in an Irving hospital. Rosary will be recited at 8:15 p.m. Friday, October 5 in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West.

Requiem mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 6 in St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Tours. Burial will follow in St. Martin’s Cemetery in Tours.

Mrs. Holzer was born at Tours and lived in the Tours area until 1941 at which time she moved to Waco. She lived in Waco from 1941 to 1971 at which time she moved to Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Holzer, who died in 1941[should be 1940].

Mrs. Holzer is survived by three sons, Joe Holzer and Raymond Holzer, both of Dallas; Billy Holzer with the United States Air Force in Spokane, Washington; four sisters [should be four daughters], Sister Angela Holzer of Shreveport, Louisiana; Mrs. Bill (Dorothy) Courson of Dallas; Mrs. C. H. (Beatrice) Stewart of Waco; Mrs. H. H. (Genie) Staggs of Irving; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Alvin Hlavenka, Richard Hlavenka, Billy Hlavenka, Layne Staggs, Albert J. Filer, Herman Grimm.
