Martha Adeline Box was born on 1 February 1836 in Ragland, Alabama, to Henry J Box Jr and Nancy J Dunn. Adeline married first Cpl James W Bramlett, 1859. He was a Confederate soldier, Alabama Infantry. Their children were Sarah and Henry Bramlett. The Bramlett family was living in Trout Creek, Alabama, in 1860, according the the US Census. Adeline was widowed when James died, ca 1863. She married second Gilbert Byrd Bice, 26 September 1865. He was also a Confederate soldier. Their daughters were Mattie, Savannah, and Dora Bice. The Bice family was living in White River, Arkansas, according to the 1880 US Census. Adeline was again widowed when Gilbert died, sometime after 1899. Adeline Box Bice died, 25 June 1917, aged 81, in Trinity County, Texas, and was buried at Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto, Texas.
