Cook was born in Frisco City but had resided in Atlanta, Ga. until recently. She retired from Delta Airlines after 29 years of service and was a member of South Cobb Church of Christ in Austell, Ga. and was an adopted member of Glendale Church of Christ in Florence.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Bailey.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Cook; her mother, Myrtle Bailey of Frisco City; one daughter, Jennifer (Adam) Dickerson of Athens; two sisters, Betty Rhodes and Sue Barlow; one brother, Cecil Bailey Jr.; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the Greenhill Funeral Home and burial followed in Atlas Cemetery at Atlas Church of Christ in Killen. A memorial service was held at South Cobb Church of Christ in Austell on Monday, May 18 at 3 p.m.
