Mrs. Harriet Cornwell, wife of John Cornwell, fell asleep in Jesus July 12th, 1879, after a protracted illness of six months with that horrible disease, cancer.
A few days previous to her death she was taken with dysentery, which rapidly terminated her remaining days on earth. Her age was 57 years and seven months. In her early years she was baptized upon a profession of faith in Christ and her subsequent life was a beautiful exemplification of the Christian virtues. Her conscientious observance of duty her self denial and humility; her love for the house of prayer her prudence and disinterestedness; her self sacrificing disposition as wife and mother, commanded the
admiration of all with whom she was associated. She was willing to die and expressed a desire for her family
to meet her in heaven. A deeply bereaved husband and children feel that whilst death for his is an inexpressible gain, their loss indeed irreparable.
