Married Isadora Cahoon 29 Feb. 1872 and moved from his native NY to Kalkaska and then to Mayfield Twp., MI about 1880. He was a member of the IOOF and a postal carrier. He was preceded in death by his wife and due to poor health during the winter of 1933-34 went to live with his daughter May Milks of Williamsburg, MI. He died there and according to the obit published in the Friday August 31, Kingsley newspaper "the funeral was held in the Methodist Episcopal Church Sunday, [and] interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery." No tombstone or cemetery burial record exists. He is presumed to be buried with his wife Isadora and son Emmett B. Boman (Find-a-grave # 31529771).
