Mrs. Laura Moore Dead
Mrs. Laura Moore, whose critical illness of several months has been a source of sorrow to the family and friends, passed away at the home of her mother, Mrs. Geneva Lockhart, Tuesday, May 26.
Laura Lockhart was born Sept. 8, 1878 at San Jose, Ill. In her childhood the family located on a farm nine miles northeast of Goff in the Woodlawn community.
She met and married Whitten Moore on May 11, 1904. While they had no children of their own, they took into their home seven children at different times and gave them devoted care.
Mrs. Moore gave up her home following her husband's death two years ago and has since been living with her mother, Mrs. Lockhart, who survives her.
Other surviving relative include 5 brothers, Austin, Ben, Harry, Bert, and W.E. Lockhart; four sisters, several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in the Fairview cemetery at Goff.
