"Died --- At DeLamar, Idaho, Feb. 7th, 1894, John C. Foss, aged 27 years. Deceased had been in the employ of the DeLamar Company for nearly three years and was known as a quiet and industrious young man, of exemplary good habits. He was born in England, but his parents removed with him, when a child, to Michigan. He has a brother living in Oregon, but not in reach by telegraph. He was buried in DeLamar yesterday. The funeral services, conducted by Mr. Wm. Seymour, were attended by a very large number of his fellows miners and friends, making it the largest attended funeral ever held at the DeLamar burying ground, showing the high esteem in which deceased was held here".
