CWO Mormino was a World War I, World War II and Korean War Marine/National Guard/Navy veteran. He saw service from Octomber 1920 to October 1922 in the Marine Corps., then joined the South Dakota National Guard in June of 1925 until June of 1926, and then joined the U.S. Navy in January 1929 to July 1948. He was later reactivated for the Korean war from October 1950 to October 1953. He was awarded the U.S. Marine Corps. Good Conduct medal and the Marksman Badge. While with the Navy he was awarded the Navy Good Conduct medal with second and third award bars, the World War II Victory medal, the National Defense Service medal, the American Defense Service medal, the American Theater Campaign medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign medal, the Korean Service medal and the United Nations Korean Service medal.
