Aletha Jane Newlin, 55, of 356 N. Illinois St., died at 5:17 pm yesterday in St Mary's Hospital. She had been under a doctor's care for two weeks.
A Decatur resident for 32 years, Mrs Newlin was a member of the Maroa Christian Church, the Decatur Mothersingers and Fay Ickes Barracks 341 Auxiliary.
She was born March 23, 1904, in Maroa, the daughter of Samuel and Aletha Pulliam.
She was married to Otis Newlin Feb. 14, 1928, in Maroa. He died Jan. 3, 1959.
She is survived by one son, Alfred (Jim), Decatur, one daughter, Mrs Ellen Jane Calbert, Anaheim, Calif., and three grandchildren.
