Mrs. Adolph Gartman, 50, a former resident of the town of Wilson, died Sat. at her home in Denver CO, after a protracted illness.
Nee Viola Herbst, she was born Nov. 8, 1900, in the town of Wilson, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Herbst. She was married to Adolph Gartman Apr. 30, 1927.
The couple made their home on the Gartman homestead, five miles south of Sheboygan, until five and one-half years ago. Since that time they lived at Denver.
Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Howard [Ellen] Steele of Chicago; four brothers, Harry, Melvin, Chester and Henry Herbst of Sheboygan; and three sisters, Mrs. Henry Langenhahn of Newton and Mrs. Elmer Moenning and Mrs. Elmer Bock of the town of Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wed. at Moore Funeral home in Denver. Interment will be made in Brown Hill cemetery at Denver.
