HERMAN A. KOBERNIK FORMER CONTRACTOR, BUILDER; RITE SET

Herman August Kobernik, 86, Depot Road, Green Lake, died today at his home after an illness of several years.

Born in the Town of Berlin, Green Lake County, Dec. 21, 1880, he was the son of William and Wilhelmina Schmidt Kobernik. He was educated in rural schools, worked as a contractor and builder until retirement and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Green Lake. He married Wilhelmina Nothnagel on Nov. 3, 1907. He had lived in his home for 53 years.

Mr. Kobernik is survived by a son, Arnold, Green Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Martin Mellum and Mrs. Walter Astrach, both of Green Lake; six sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hilke, Milwaukee, Mrs. Anna Delbert, Green Lake, Mrs. Lullie Timm, Mrs. Martha Hilke, Mrs. Paul Miller and Mrs. Fred Denzin, all of Ripon; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife and one daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm. Frida at Peace Lutheran Church, Green Lake. Burial will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Butzin Funeral Home, Ripon. Funeral arrangements were made by Lewis D. Egbert, Green Lake.
