A funeral service is planned for 10 a.m. Monday in the Cole and Maud Mortuary chapel for Henry D. Hopper, 80, of Maricopa, who died June 8, 1988 in Phoenix. The Rev. Bud Fisher is expected to officiate.

Mr. Hopper, a long-time winter visitor to the Maricopa area, was born Jan. 18, 1908 in Princeton, Kentucky, and moved to the Maricopa area permanently 10 months ago from Ohio.

He was a diesel engineer for Reeves Empire Steel Mill and a member of the Trimble Road Bible Church in Mansfield, Ohio for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Albretta; daughter, Virginia Fisher, of Maricopa; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
