OBIT: Mrs. Helen N. Surgeon, 73, of 2159 Harvey Ave, wife of Byron E. Surgeon, died Sunday at 2:30 am at City Hospital after an illness of five years. Mrs. Surgeon was born Jan. 22, 1893 at Great Bend, Meigs CO, Ohio, to the late John Allmon and Addia Lewis Allmon. She was employed until 1942 as a decorator at the former Edwin M. Knowles China Co. She was a member of the Boyce Methodist Church. She also leaves a son, Walter R. Norris of Columbus; a stepson Donald Surgeon of East Liverpool; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Adler of Las Cruces, N.M. and Mrs. Wilma Mautz of East Liverpool; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday at 3:30pm at the Martin Funeral Hoe by the Rev. Paul George. Burial will be in Columbiana Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight.
