Died on the 16th of December, 1884, Mr. T. C. Worthy of Broad River, in the 50th year of his age. Mr. Worthy had been to Columbia with a boat-load of cotton and being exposed a good deal took Pneumonia from which he died after a short illness. Mr. Worthy was one of the largest and most successful farmers of the County and was an influential public-spirited citizen.
