Charlotte Heal was born 22 Dec 1800 in Lincolnville, ME to John Heal and his second wife Mercy (Dunton) Heal. Charlotte married Moses Young on 25 July 1824 in a ceremony by the Rev. Joseph Richards. The couple had these children: John, Elijah, Andrew Jackson, James Henry Thomas, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Randall Ellis, and an unnamed son who was born and died in Aug 1843. There is speculation that Andrew Jackson had a twin sister Nancy. Several sons served in the Civil War. The following children of Charlotte and Moses are buried in Youngtown Cemetery: Elijah, James Henry Thomas, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and Benjamin Franklin Young.
Charlotte's husband Moses built a home at Youngtown Corner that is now known as the Youngtown Inn.

The lad was carried into the house of his grandfather, Moses Young, Esq., when the appearance of the poor fellow so excited the grandmother, Mrs. Young, that she took to her bed and died the next morning."
