"Mrs Cora Leviness Chase, 86, died at the home of her daughters, Mrs Chester Dean, at Pleasantville, at 4:45 pm yesterday, following a lingering illness. She made her home with her daughter and had been bedfast for three years. She was a daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Leviness and is the last of her immediate family. She was born at New Rochelle, NY, on May 1, 1863, and on Feb 19, 1889, was married to David M Lord, who died 14 months later. Mrs Leviness was married on April 5, 1900, to Samuel H Chase, who survives. She was virtually a life-long resident of Pleasantville and first was a member of the Pleasantville United Brethren church. In later years she joined the Shamburg Christian church. She was always very active and took an interested part in church and young people's work. Besides the husband and the daughter the deceased leaves a son, Newell L Chase of Clintonville. Five grandchildren, five nieces and one nephew survive. Friends may call at the family home, where services will be conducted on Sunday at 2:30 pm with Rev Harold Lindquist of Youngsville, assisted by Rev Elliott of Stewart's Run church, officiating. Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners cemetery. Arrangements by Arnold funeral home."
