BOGALUSA - Woodrow W. Aaron, a resident of 10th Avenue, Franklinton 73 years old, died at 8 p.m. Sunday, January 5th, at the Riverside Medical Center.
He was a retired manager of the W. E. Walker Store in Franklinton; served on the Franklinton Town Council from 1960 to 1962, was Franklinton Chamber of Commerce president and was a Charter Member of the Franklinton Rotary Club.
A former chairman of the Board of Deacons of the First Baptist Church, where he also served as a Sunday School teacher and superintendent, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Inez H. Aaron of Franklinton; a son, H. Michael
Aaron of Baton Rouge; two brothers, William "Bill" Aaron of Crestview, Florida, and Clayton Aaron of Pensacola, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Maxine Milton of Montgomery, Alabama, and Mrs. Brownie O'Ferrell of Evergreen,
Alabama; and two grandsons, Christopher and Chip Aaron of Baton Rouge.
The body lay in state at the Crain Funeral Home until the time for funeral services, which were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 7th, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Jerry Barlow, Dr. A. W. Robbins, and Dr. Joe Baugh officiating.
Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
