IGNATIUS LEMM
Ignatius Lemm, Melrose, died suddenly Tuesday at 11 p.m. at the age of 66 years. He was born August 1, 1898, in Luxemburg where he lived until he was 20 years old. He had resided in Duluth and Pierz before settling in Melrose 34 years ago.
On November 12, 1912, he married Margaret Weber in Luxemburg and she survived with the following children: Homer P. Lemm, Melrose; Mrs. Mildred Wahl and Mrs. Caroline Fjeld of Minneapolis. There are five grandchildren.
Two brothers, Wendelin, Melrose and Wilfred, Lewiston, Idaho, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Weber, Flaxville, Mont., also survive.
Mr. Lemm attended St. Cloud State Teachers college and Valparaiso college in Valparaiso, Ind.. He served as state senator from 1927 to 1931 had been city clerk at Melrose the past 30 years: justice of the peace the past 30 years; a member of the Melrose Fire department. He had been active in sports and was one of the civic leaders of the city. He was a member of the Melrose Knights of Columbus. Friends may call at the funeral home in Melrose until the time of funeral Friday at 9 a.m. at St. Boniface Church in Melrose.
