Richard C. Hilber of Highland, a native of San Bernardino, lived in Highland 23 years, died Monday of cancer at St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino at the age of 59. He was a retired administrative analyst for IBM for 28 years and office manager for the Occupational Therapy Program at Loma Linda University for five years. He served in the National Guard and Army Reserves and was a member of San Bernardino Elks Lodge No. 836. He was survived by his wife, Nancy, his son, Mark of Landers, three daughters, Cathy of Redlands, Jennifer Mean of yucaipa and Yvette of Highland, his brother, David of rialto and five grandchildren. Burial mass will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Adelaide's Catholic Church with interment to follow at Montecito Memorial Park.
