Dorothy Leora Millin Beck was born 19 Aug. 1939 to Walter Alonzo and Leora Pearl (Cohoe) Millin. Dorothy was born in Mt. Hope, Wisconsin. Her early childhood years were spent living in Mt. Hope, Wi., South Bend, Ind., and Hauer, Wisconsin.
The family moved to Lydick, Indiana when she was in the 4th grade. She lived there until her Sophmore year of high school when the family moved to a country home between Niles and Edwardsburg, Michigan. She graduated from Edwardsburg with the class of 1957. She went to work at Elkhart General Hospital for several years.
She married John D. Beck in 1959 in Elkhart, Ind. They had 5 children, Christine, John, Daniel, Kay and Amy.
Dorothy is buried at St. Vincents Cemetery in Elkhart, Indiana.
