Henry Leroy (Hank) Prater's parents were Vernon Thomas "Curly" Prater and Mable Dophene Spicer. He married Emma Lucille Miller on January 3, 1937 at Rulo, Nebraska. They had six children: Juanita, Margaret, Mary, Hanky Jo, Theresa and Robin.

Henry L. Prater, 53, Passes Away Here
Henry LeRoy Prater, 53, Rulo, died at 3:30 o'clock this morning, Aug. 25, 1966, at Community hospital. He entered the hospital the last time Aug. 15. He had been at home for 10 days and before that was in an Omaha hospital for seven weeks. He had been in failing health for two years.

Mr. Prater was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Prater, Sr., Rulo. He was born in Rulo Aug. 16, 1913, and had lived there all his life. He attended the Rulo schools and had been a commercial fisherman most of his life.

Jan. 3, 1937, he was married at Rulo to Miss Lucille Miller. The couple established their home in Rulo.

Mr. Prater was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic church at Rulo.

Besides his widow, he is survived by a son, Henry Joseph Prater, 10, at home; five daughters, Mrs. Dwaine (Juanita) Anno, Falls City, Sister Michaelene, of the Marion Center, Waverly, Mrs. William (Mary) Coonce, Nebraska City, Theresa Marie, 8, and Robin, 6, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Prater, Sr., Rulo; two brothers, Jim Prater and William Prater, both of Falls City; two sisters, Mrs. William Titus, Omaha, and Mrs. Raymond Campbell, Waverly, and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon and Thomas Prater, and a sister, Fern Prater.

The body is here at Chaney-Hodgens-Sharrar funeral home where the rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Friday evening. The funeral mass will be held at 9:30 o'clock Saturday morning at the Immaculate Conception Catholic church at Rulo in charge of Father Anthony Kotz. Burial will be in the Rulo Catholic cemetery.
