Mrs. Weeks was born in Columbia City, IN on 22 Jun 1935.
She was a 25 year resident of Ridgecrest, CA and prior to that had lived in Trona, CA for 25 years. She worked as a secretary for Kerr McGee/NACC/IMC in Trona until retirement.
With expertise and dedication, she fulfilled her diverse interests, talents and skills in an exemplary manner.
Her capacity for creativity coupled with her generosity, provided a bounty of loving gifts to those she loved and even those she had never met before, with the use of her skilled hands through quilting, scrapbooking, money roses, candy poems, gardening, writing, cooking and baking (and was currently working on a family recipe book), cake decorating, oil painting and other art work, sewing, card making, crafts and typing.
Her devotion to full-time genealogy and family history led her to many new friends located throughout the United States and a room dedicated to her research, discoveries, photos, memory books, keepsakes and her work.
She collected and gathered heirlooms, antiques, sabin dishes, dolls, covered bridges, Christmas, friends and family. To relax she loved to read and went shopping for children's items that she never had growing up, in order to give to other children who had very little.
Her attributes and virtues she leaves behind are numerous and include strength, an incredible work ethic, management, lifting another with her humor and delightful outlook, perseverance , generosity, passion for life, resilience, service, thoughtfulness, organization, resourcefulness, and vision.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Phillip H. Weeks of Ridgecrest; daughter Lori Fairbanks of Utah, son Paul Weeks of Ridgecrest; grandson Kirt Fairbanks of UT; granddaughter Rhianna Celestine of Ridgecrest; grandson Paul Weeks of TX; great-grandsons Killian and Beck Fairbank of UT; great grandson Julian Smith of Ridgecrest; great-granddaughters Lilianna Weeks and Autumn Stull of TX. She is also survived by brother Mike Loe of AZ, brother Jim Loe of IN; sister Susan Loe of IN; and sister Martha Harper of IN. She is preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
