William L. (Bob) O'Brien, Sr. , 62, of 2402 Fox Road died at 1:15 a.m. Monday at St. John's Hospital.

Born in Springfield, Mr. O'Brien was the son of Thomas F. and Bridget Murray O'Brien.

He had been a resident of Springfield his entire life and was a plasterer by trade.

Mr. O'Brien was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Holy Name Society, Plasterers Local No. 59 and for 15 years he was business agent for Plasterers Local No. 59.

Surviving are his wife, Nellie; one daughter, Mrs. Richard Eddington, of Peoria; one son, William L. Jr., of Concord, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Wiedlocher, of Springfield; two brothers, Timothy M. and Cyril J., both of Springfield.

Services were at Sacred Heart Church.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
