Alfred T Huddleston, was born May 1846 in Illinois to Greenberry (G.B.) Huddleston Sr & Sally Sarah Merrifield.

Alfred Served the country Company K Iowa 19th Infantry.

Alfred married Marry M. Lang July 17 1870 in Davis County Iowa. Mary passed away in 1906. He married Josie Wheaton Shelly in 1908.

Based on Census data, his parents and siblings lived in the Buckles Grove area of Illinois through the 1850's. Then Moved on to Madison Missouri through the 1860's. The final pioneering move in the 1870's was to the state of Iowa. Bloomfield Iowa being Alfred's first Iowa home city. Alfred, worked as a brick layer in Bloomfield Iowa. During the 1880's Alfred moved on to Perry and Lick Creek Iowa farming. Around 1885 Alfred moved his family to Ottumwa Iowa. Times were hard, as the family resided in tents along the rail road right away, waiting for day labor work.

It is recorded through the various census collections that 14 Children were a part of Alfred & Mary's Family.
