Mrs. Net Tollison, 70, one of the town's splendid women, died at her home here after a short illness. Though she had been afflicted for several years, the end came as a severe shock to everyone. She was a member of the Methodist Church and belonged to one of the oldest and most prominent families in this section, of the state, her father being one of the early settlers in this section and at one time owner of the land where the town is now situated and also what is known as Blanton Gap through which the Illinios Central R. R. was built back in 1883.
She is survived by her husband Albert Tollison; one brother, T. J. Blanton, and a sister, Mrs. J. Bud Mitchell, all of this place.
The funeral was conducted at the Methodist Church, by her pastor, Rev. T. B. Thrower, assisted by the Presbyterian pastor, Rev. J. R. Tackett, and the Baptist pastor, Rev. D. L. Hill. Interment took place at Enon Cemetery.
