A native of Denmark, Mr. Lauritsen came to the Danevang area in 1895. He was a farmer all his life. He was twice married and both of his wives are deceased.
He is survived by five sons, two daughters and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The surviving sons are Emil, Clarence and Leonard Lauritsen of Danevang, Albert of El campo and Holger of Dwight, Illinois. The daughters are Mrs. Bessie Jensen and Mrs. Louise Hayes, both of Houston.
Interment was in Danevang cemetery under the direction of Wheeler Funeral Home.
